In addition to supporting the CMSA Pro Class, Wrangler has been insturmental in the fight against breast cancer with the Wrangler Tough Enough To Wear Pink campaign.  The CMSA adopted this program with the introduction of the Outlaw Annie Shoot for a Cure, held at the Sundowner Eastern United States

 

Championship in 2007.  This single event raised $10,000.00 for breast cancer research and was such a success that it will return to Murfreesboro again in 2008.  But sign up fast, due to time constraints entries will once again be limited.

New Wrangler Format for 2008

At the upcoming CMSA Championship Series events there will be a new and improved WRANGLER PRO SHOOTOUT & Wrangler Pro Classic event format that is a new and more exciting format that will payback a higher percentage to each contestant, make the World & Nationals truly special and give more contestants the opportunity to WIN! CMSA Sundowner World and Jeffers National Championships will each host Wrangler Pro SHOOTOUT events. These events are historically the "Granddaddies of them all" and will feature a slightly higher entry fee of $250, 80% of that entry fee, 1 on 5 payback, and offer finalists the opportunity to REALLY CASH IN! The 2008 Wrangler Pro SHOOTOUT at the Jeffers National Championship, in Tunica, MS, will feature $6,000 in guaranteed prize money in the Saturday Night Showcase of Champions. $3,000 paid to each gender paying the top three finalists in each gender $1,500, $900 and $600!

The World Championship Finals in Amarillo, Texas will feature $10,000 in guaranteed prize money! $5,000 PER GENDER! Paying the top three finalists in each gender a whopping $2,500, $1,500 or $1,000!

A couple of other changes for the SHOOTOUTS in 2008 are as follows. Top 10 of each gender will return to run for the CASH! Two horse entry limit per rider, showcase finalists must ride the horse they qualified on and IN THE ORDER THEY QUALIFIED! If you have back-to-back qualifications, be ready to Rock-N-Roll!

Wrangler Pro Classic events will be held at the Colt Classic in Lewisburg, Ohio, Behlen Lazy E Classic in Guthrie, Oklahoma, the Ruger Western in Nampa, Idaho and the Sundowner Eastern in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. These events will feature a $200 entry fee, also with an increased preliminary payback of 80%, paying one place per each five entries, two horse entry limit per rider, gender split, no showcase. You'll be running for all the CASH in one run!

Since the CMSA cardholders have supported Wrangler and it's products so well, there will be $10,000 in Wrangler Bonus Bucks in 2008. If you win Overall Cowboy or Cowgirl at Eastern, Western, Nationals or World wearing Wrangler Jeans you?ll receive $1,000 in Wrangler Bonus Bucks!

Wrangler Bonus Bucks totaling $500 will also be presented to the lucky winner of the Shooter's Meeting drawing at Eastern, Western, Nationals or World as well.

Plus, not to leave the future of the CMSA out, ALL Wrangler contestants at each of the CMSA Championship Series will receive Wrangler gift certificates.
