THE 2008 CMSA POINTS RACE RECAP – POINTS DID MATTER!

For Those Who Rode Long And Hard,
The Payoff At The End Of the Trail Was Well Worth The Ride.

What a race it was, right to the finish with drama and excitement to the very end. CMSA’s goal was to put value into the points race early in the year and from the response from members it worked. Added to the winner’s prize pool were free entry fees for the Regional High Point winners. The high point man and lady from each CMSA region (minimum of 200 points needed to qualify for this prize) earned their choice of any 2009 CMSA Championship Series event. This addition is a $199 value to each winning member and a total value of $5,572 to these hard working, long- traveling mounted shooters.

AND THE FORD TRUCK WINNER IS…

In addition, each class high point winner was also entered in a drawing for a brand new Ford F-150 truck, purchased and provided by the CMSA (a $28,000 value), plus a free entry and one stall at every one of our NINE CMSA Championship Series events in 2009—count’em all 9! That prize alone carried a value of nearly $3,000 each--that’s an added $18,000 in total from the CMSA. The drawing was simple. Each class winner was presented a chip, with their CMSA number on it, to put in the drawing. Mindy Bradley, of the Amarillo Convention Bureau collected the chips and the winners were drawn by Alton Wilson, manager of the Amarillo National Center. Separated by their gender and division, six drawings narrowed the field to six, three men and three ladies, who each selected a key–of which only one would open the door on the 2008 Ford F-150! Drawn in the following order:

• Kathrine Hollman Junior L1
• Chuck Chunn M2
• Kim Paschal M3
• Diane Lipham L3
• Whitney Vickers L5
• Jim Rodgers Senior M5
